Ailynn holds a MBA in Strategic Marketing and has more than 25 years of successful track record in hospitality sales & marketing leadership role within 5-star luxury hotels and convention centers, managing several geographical and multi-cultural environments. She has successfully led and manages sales, marketing, catering and revenue management teams in hotel opening, rebranding and repositioning.
A great advocate in the area of Sustainability and CSR, Ailynn is an active member of various social enterprise, volunteers at numerous non-profit organizations as mentor, fundraiser and lead planner. She has championed numerous green initiatives within the companies she worked with and played a pivotal role in the organization’s successful effort in attaining their green initiatives such as the ISO 20121, the leading Sustainable Events Management System accreditation.
Ailynn is a member of the Green Meeting Industry Council and have participated in white paper discussion and presentation. She is a firm believer in walking the talk and is the first in South East Asia to receive the SEPC (Sustainable Event Professional Certification) by Events Industry Council. She is also a Certified Meeting Planner (CMP), Certified Association Sales Executive (CASE) and a Digital Event Specialist (DES)bythe Professional Convention Management Association. (PCMA)
Her focus on driving impact and inspiring change has won her the prestigious Sheldon Adelson Citizenship Award – Sands Cares Hero of the Year in 2019
Ailynn believes in giving back to the industry and have participated actively asguest’s speaker and lecturer at both local and international events and universities sharing on topics related to Sustainability in the Hospitality & Events management as well as ESG &DEI related topics.
She is on the advisory board of HSMAI (Hotel Sales & Marketing Association International) andstartupcompanies in the Food Technology industry with B Corp certification. She is currently consulting for companies to help them developed their sustainability roadmap and achieve their goals.
Ailynn is an active mentor and member of SHE Brilliance, a professional Women’s network with a vision created for women to aspire towards a purposeful life and confidently lead change. She is also mentoring female youth from Care.SG and HUG Community Services.
Ailynn was our Strategic Partner working on creating great attendee experience for SAP Sales Conference since 2014 at MBS. For our Sales Conference FKOM 2020 at MBS, we started to embark on Sustainability Event strategy with our venue and overall event planning. She is very passionate about Sustainability Cause and how events should take the lead to make a difference to society and event industry. Together we had an amazing Best Attendee Experience with all Sustainability measures like no single plastic bottle and waste management for our 3 days event. We greatly appreciate your experience and advice on how we can do more Sustainability initiatives to drive Business Impact and better attendee experience. She is always full of ideas and able to manage different stakeholders to create a Win/Win outcome.
Ailynn is a terrific collaborator and passionate sustainability advocate. She was instrumental in pioneering our sustainable events packages, including campaigns around "It's Easy Meeting Green" that secured huge contracts for us, including award-winning events with Schneider, Forever Living and Flight Centre. She understands both the operational requirements as well as brand value of core elements that make an event sustainable -- energy footprints, water reduction, recycling/circularity/materials, and giving back to the community. The events Ailynn were involved in had a significantly lower environmental footprint, and her legacy continues to resonate years later!
I had the pleasure of meeting Ailynn when she chaired the HSMAI sustainability roundtable in June 2022. Apart from her eloquent public speaking and her effective facilitation of the event, it was clear to me, as a sustainability researcher, how passionate and knowledgeable she is on the core ESG issues currently facing the hospitality industry.
